Green Bay Boy Choir and Girl Choir perform on Sydney Opera House Stage

65 members of the Green Bay Boy Choir and Girl Choir experienced the thrill of a lifetime performing on stage at the Sydney Opera House on July 3 and 4, 2007. Members of  the touring choirs of both the Boy Choir and Girl Choir performed  as individual units as well as part of massed track and festival performances. In addition to the Opera House performances, the choirs toured Sydney and the surrounding area before heading to New Zealand. In Rotorua, New Zealand the choirs participated in a cultural exchange with students from a Moari Intermediate School.

Boy Choir and Girl Choir to perform with Niihama Youth Choir

In an exciting international collaboration, the Green Bay Boy Choir and Girl Choir will connect with the visiting Niihama Youth Choir from Japan.  Both choirs will perform in a joint concert at the Walter Auditorium at St. Norbert College in DePere, on Monday, March 26, at 7:30 pm.  The choirs will sing together in a Japanese piece, "Hotaru Koi."  Tickets are available through the St. Norbert College box office (920-403-3950). 

Green Bay Girl Choir to perform at Appleton High Schools Women’s Choir Festival

The Green Bay Girl Choir will sing at the Appleton High Schools Women's Choir Festival on January 30th, 2007, along with women's choirs from Lawrence University and Appleton high schools.  The festival performance will take place at the Lawrence University Chapel at 7:30 pm, and is open to the public.  The Green Bay Girl Choir will join with the other participating choirs to perfom Can You Hear by Jim Papoulis (arranged by Francisco Nunez). 

Green Bay Boy Choir to perform at Wisconsin Choral Directors Convention

The Green Bay Boy Choir has been selected to perform as the opening choir at the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association in Madison on January 11. The Nicolet and Joliet Choirs, under the direction of Judith Tepe, will perform works by Vijay singh, Giulio Caccini,Z Randall Stroope,da Viadana, David Dickau and Greg Gilpin. The Boy Choir was selected as one of five choirs to perform from across the state.

Green Bay Boy Choir and Girl Choir will participate in World Voices Australia International Choral Festival-Sydney Opera House June 26-July 7, 2007

The touring choirs of the Green Bay Boy Choir and Girl Choir have been invited to participate in World Voices Australia International Choral Festival to be held at the Sydney Opera House  June 26-July 7,2007.

The Nicolet and Joliet Choirs of The Green Bay Boy Choir, under the direction of Judith Tepe, Artistic Director, will perform in the Young Men's track of the Festival lead by Mark Johnson of the Minnesota Boy Choir. 

The Green Bay Girl Choir's Licenza and Cantabile Choirs, Linda Thill, Artistic Director, will have the opportunity to work with Charlotte Adams as a part of the Women's track of the Festival.

 Both the Boy Choir and Girl Choir will have the opportunity to perform their own repertoire on the stage of the Sydney Opera House as well as participate in the massed performance opportunities that the Festival has to offer.

 In addition to the choirs' involvement in the festival, they will have the opportunity to tour Sydney and the surrounding area as well as New Zealand.

Green Bay Boy Choir performs at the Opening Ceremonies for the Tall Ships Visit to Green Bay

The Green Bay Boy Choir, under the direction of artistic director, Judy Tepe, will perform at the Opening Ceremonies for the Tall Ships Parade of Sail on Thursday, July 27th at Leicht Park, Green Bay. The touring Choirs will sing a selection of nautical folk songs and dance tunes of fishermen, sailors and the sea. Leicht Park gatees will open at 4PM with entertainment beginning at 5PM. The Boy Choir will perform at 6:25 PM followed by the presentation of the colors and the singing of the National Anthem by the Choir. A Welcome from Mayor Schmidt and Governor Doyle will follow and a blessing of the ships from Bishop Zubik.

Green Bay Girl Choir sings at Carnegie Hall

On Monday, June 26th the touring choirs of the Green Bay Girl Choir performed on stage at the world renown Carnegie Hall in New York City! As part of the Eleventh Annual North American Children's Chorale, 44 members of the Girl Choir performed under the direction of Clinician and Music Educator, Janet Galvin. Repertoire included music by Bach, Mozart, Mussorgsky, Karl Jenkins and Glenn McClure. The Girl Choir, under the direction of artistic director, Linda Thill, performed along with singers from Alaska, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Oregon and Tennessee.
